BFG 7800GTX (256mb) only getting 7900 3DMarks? Is something wrong?

I've just installed a brand new BFG 7800GTX 256mb card and I seem to be getting low 3DMark05 scores (according to other projects with the *exact same* hardware).

Here's my 3DMark project:

You'll notice I used the Nvidia 8.1.9.5 drivers, but I also tried using the 7.7.7.2 drivers and got almost the exact same results. (for some reason I can't link that project, but if you view my profile or the link above you can see the other project)

Why am I getting such a low 3DMark score? Could I have something configured incorrectly in my BIOS? Thats the only thing I can possibly think of....

Oh, in case it matters I did have a BFG 6800GT card in this same machine but that shouldn't matter. I also used Driver Cleaner Pro in-between each driver switch (from 8.1.9.5 to 7.7.7.2, etc).

Any help would be greatly appriciated

With my 4400+ I get 8100 with 78.03 and 8305 with the 81.95. So depending on TSRs, RAM amount+speed, CPU speed, and such that sounds like a very respectable number.

whats your rig specs?
EDIT: what is your card core/memory clocked at?

my rig gets about 7300 in 3dmark05 with latest drivers, so I'd expect yours to be about what you got or slightly more, depending on rig specs.

I would say that you are fine. That is a pretty decent number for a single card, and like we have all agreed on, you can't play 3dMark

I get 8.9K with my setup which as you can see is quite o/c and around 7.9K @ stock.
