It seems like the 7600GT is way better... but the x800GTO is more.. so there must be a reason..
also how do these cards compare to a 6800GT?

had it been X1800GTO, there still would be a comparison

an unlocked and overclocked 800GTO may beat a 7600GT by a few percent maybe, but it would lack HDR and SM 3.0 and at stock even a 6800GT maybe >=800GT

the 7600gt is a much more powerfull card. I don't know how, but it is. Try playing FEAR at 12x10 resolution with some aa and af at max details and see how far that gets you with your x800gto or 6800gt. Let me tell you because I've had all 3 of those cards. The 7600gt I currently own pwns all of those cards ;P. I'm interested to see how an unlocked x1800gto would do, probably best bang for buck if you can get gaurantee'd unlock and decent oc (I mean that would practically be a x1800xt )
anyway, yeah 7600gt is a surprisingly goood card.
