whats the difference between this and the other 6800s
i've been waiting for the 6600gt agp to upgrade (i have a 9600pro)

i'm not up to par on all these new cards, is this really hot?

okay....i just read reviews online and i want one now!!!
its really cheap compared to the other dealers online.

(anyone know about hardware problems switching from ati to nvidia?)

That's not right. All of the BFG cards are labeled OC, purportedly because they are easily overclocked out of the box.

The 6800 is the lowest high-end card you can buy, but at $250, it's a very good deal.

No its because they are OCed right out of the box, standard 6800s are 325core/700ram vs 350/700 for the BFG OC.

It comes with the full version of Farcry as well.

For those on the West Coast, you can try using the 12%/20% off coupon that is good today only from 6-9pm for family and friends shopping event.

Its a big YMMV but if you get luckly youd be looking at an addition $30-$50 off of the $250 price.

Yeah same as outpost except BB actualy has the cards. If you call outpost they'll tell you it's sold out and they have no restock date.

Ah, sorry! Didn't see that 25 extra core speed. Even better!

Good card. Wish I knew about this yesterday to combine it with the Best Buy Friends and Family discount!

Its YMMV because #1 it may not work with video cards and #2 is the bigger deal on the coupon front it says "discounts taken from regular prices" .

I feel my chances are at least 50% that the 12% will work and about 20% that the 20% will work. :)

FYI, Outpost.com has had it for the $250 price for a long time now. For me, I'd go with Outpost and pay the shipping because Best Buy would charge me sales tax, which would add up to maybe 3x the cost of shipping...

I looked at BB yesterday and they had one left, this was in Mankato MN so if you live around here better hurry up if you want to get in on this deal. :)

As previously stated, outpost has not had these in stock for a while. Besides it will only be about $10 - $15 difference.

I was in BB for Friends and Family--Strangely, the BFG 6800 was $256 in store ($306-$50 instant rebate). I don't know if BB PMs their own website, so it might be a good idea to order online for an in-store pick-up.

I got the card from Outpost a month ago for a rig a i built for a customer. I clocked it @ 375/800 and sent it out running fine.

If you have the money, hit newegg or Zipzoomfly and buy the EVCA 6800 Limited edition, it comes clocked @ 325/1100 i've clocked 2 of the 4 i bought over 400+ and 1200 mem. The've been selling for around $329 shipped @ both places. 1.6ns memory
