BFG 6800GT SLI Compatability

As the story generally goes, I bought a new shiny BFG 6800GT last year with the assurance then when the time to upgrade came, I could just add anohter card in SLI. Then of course, everyone stopped making 6800GTs, thus makin my options for going SLI quite limited.

I new have a change to get my hands on a second BFG 6800GT but it is slightly different than mine.

Long story short, will an original BFG 6800GT with the dual DVI out work with a later made BFG 6800GT with 1 dvi nad 1 vga?

With the latest nVidia drivers, even cards from different manufacturers with different BIOSs will work... as long as they're the same model card (i.e. 6800GT, not GS, or XT, or Ultra, etc).

Do they work well? Any glitches compared to two identical cards?

AFAIU, works perfectly, but when I used SLI, I had two identical cards. Of course, SLI is not without issues. See driver readme notes on specific issues.
