Just replaced my 9800 for a 6800gt because i thought my 9800 was suffering from bad memory ( i was getting the same graphical glitches as now but worse before). So its pretty frustrating to see that the glitches are back.

I have a shuttle sb61g2 system with the standard 200W power supply (i have a 250W arriving from newegg on thursday). P4 2.8@ 3.16 (225fsb) isnt using any extra power and has been stable since ive had it. Im running 61.77 nvidia drivers and i did the whole driver cleaner thing before changing cards. XP is up to date (well thru win update, havent done sp2 yet)

Any ideas what this could be? I dont think its the power because my old ati card worked perfectly when i first got the shuttle and then later did this. Could it be directx (doom uses OGL so do i need new ogl drivers?) Anything you can throw at me to help out would be great.

Well i dropped my cpu back down to stock and the problem is gone, maybe it is a power issue. Ill try the new power supply back up at 225 fsb and hope for the best.

well shuttle Power supplies are very high quality. the 250 should help things out. Your power supply has been going bad from the start....thats why problems weren't there at first and then appeared.

I realize that the card recommends a 400w PS, but im not going back to full form factor ever again, i love my shuttle :)

the 200 w was the standard enhance power supply and i got it in hopes that it would actually come before i got the new card. i wasnt expecting best buy to have any 6800s or x800s this soon, so when my co-worker called me saying they were in stock i ran down to buy one.

ill do some more tests after i get back from work and see if any of my components have been damaged by my failing power supply.

Bummer about you getting the enhanced PSU, the ACHME is definitely better. The Shuttle branded ones are supposed to be excellent but I haven't bought one because my ACHME is plenty, even for the GT@431/1.1ghz.

I guess when i look at things, i got the shuttle for about 60 less than retail, so this kinda evens out. I just want to be able to have everything stable again with no problems. I just have to be patient until thursday.
