BFG 6800GT overclock "doesn't stick"

Went from a 9800 pro to the BFG 6800 GT OC. With coolbits I set the OC, but on reboot I revisit the control panel and it only indicates the stock speed. I'm not familiar with coolbits, is it still overclocked and simply not indicating the overclocked speed or is it going back to default speed?

Isn't there something you have to check (check box) in order to make it stick? I thought I remembered something like that in there when I was fooling around with it last week.

yes, after you test the new setting you need to check the box that says to "save at start up".
Then you will be good to go.

I do that, and it still reverts back to stock...

Using regedit, check the coolbits DWORD, and be sure your hexidecimal value is set to 2, not 3.

I was having this problem with a 5900nu and my 6800gt, and this fixed it...
