BFG 6800GT OC Temps

I've got the PCI-e version here with the stock cooler and it's idling around 56-57 degrees. This seems way too hot. The PCI-e version has only one fan.

I let Coolbits test overclock the card and it comes up with 428/1140. It seems stable, but temps started to rise quickly, so I dropped back. I don't think I want to game with this until I can get the temps down, because under load we're probably talking 80 degrees minimum.

I do have an NV5 silencer on the way, so hopefully this will correct the problem.

I don't have GT. I have 6800OC (AGP). Those temperatures are not too high (they may be for a CPU). Mine idles at 51. While gaming, it goes up to 80.

Use RivaTuner to see a graph of the core and board temperatures. So, after a game, you can see how the temperature changed while you played.

You can also have it log the temperatures into a file.

If u wouldnt of oc'ed i wouldnt have worried. BFG has a lifetime warrenty, if it dies from overheating (which it probably wont) then BFG would replace it. I got one and i get high temps also, but BFG covers that

But the NV5 should cool it down a lot

And under load i dont get 80 C, i get around 65 C...
