Chumbo does have some good prices on the 6800GT PCI-E cards, but you'll likely not find it in stock again for months. Considering the rarity of these cards, I think this is a about as good of a deal as you're going to get right now for these cards.

chumbo doesn't even have the BFG 6800 PCI-Express cards on their website anymore. The linked deal above is for an AGP 6800GT...

It may be hard to say that the price makes this a hot deal, but the availability alone makes it at least warm for those that really want these cards...

It is a good price... being that they have it in stock. $75.00 over MSRP is the best I can find. Sad as it is.

Also, keep in mind, EVGA recently stated that they are considering raising their MSRP to $499.99 as it's costlier to make PCI-E then AGP... which of course we know it isnt.

However, if the brand names increase the MSRP To $499.99 then $475 will seem like a deal. Plus, if the MSRP goes up, you can expect the surcharge will to. Say $550 or so.

All this comes from a shortage that will most likely last 4 or 5 more months.

All of the PCI express cards I found on pricewatch start around 475.00 and the BFG is being listed around 600.00....

Definetly a hot item for availability. Don't forget people this is OC'd with a warranty. Albeit it isn't that much of an o/c, they also usually have high quality cores that will allow for a nice o/c if you want to go for it.

375 for a 6800GT PCIE O/C'd with a warranty? Not likely... AGP, sure.... but not PCIE.

Where did you read this information saying where EVGA is considering raising the MSRP?

In a few months these PCIe cards will be everywhere and, like always, we will be kicking ourselves for paying so much.

But the ones that didn't get it will be :)
However the ones that don't have PCI-E mobos will be  or :frown:

If I had enough $ to buy 2 6800 GT PCIe I would probably have enough $ to get a subaru STI. :D
