They list it as an BFG FX6800 GT 256MB GT OC ... but I called BFG just to verify that they don't make one of those, and they don't... so I called Outpost to check on the product. The guy on the phone wasn't very helpful (not like he can look at the box for me) so since the specs are the same (and BFG doesn't make an FX6800) I figure it's safe to assume that it really is a 6800GT OC for $399. =)

Don't quite get what you mean. BFG Tech does make a 6800GT OC, listed right here

Edit: The outpost website's image isn't loading, and the BFG's product website that I linked to sports a custom cooling solution. However, tech-report's review sample has a reference cooler instead. I wonder which one actually cools better...

I just got a BFG 6800 Ultra OC from Chumbo.com and I paid $499.
No Tax and No shipping and it shipped 2day fedex on wednesday and got here today.
I cancelled my outpost order and saved $47 that I would have paid for Tax and shipping.
I didn't even know about chumbo until I saw in on the BFG site.
I wish I could find a BFG shirt.
Card is Gigantic, Luck to all.

Cheers
Nick

I'm confused.

You'd rather pay $499 with no tax/shipping instead of $446 after tax & shipping?

NO No NO,

I bought the higher end card which retails for $499 and paid No shipping and No tax
If I had bought the same card from Outpost I would have paid $499 + $47 Tax and shipping

Chumbo does not charge for shipping (on this card) and no tax (different state)

There we go, clear as mud
