You guys are hilarious,
Just because some people enjoy overclocking and like to squeeze every last ounce of performance out of their set up you feel you have to rain on their parade with a holier than thou attitude.
To each his own...
Nobody takes shots at you because you run stock do they?
Fact: there is a performance gain to be had with overclocking, and if done properly you will almost never fry anything as many of you keep bringing up.
You read a few random posts where someone thinks they FRIED a cpu, or FRIED a gpu, and that sticks out in your mind, (and often times the issue isn't diagnosed properly anyway)
you don't take note of all the successful overclocks happening right around you.

Nuff respect goin gout to that man there

Heck, overclocking cant be that bad, the BFG comes overclocked to begin with, if its good enough for BFG then its good enough for us!!!
Lets face it guys, yes a GT is fast enough already, but if u can have a ULTRA for free, why not. beacuse, AFAIC, a nv40 running 400/1.1 is a ultra, be it originally a GT or not.
Lets face it, when intel / AMD relese the next speed grade, all it means is that there yields of chips that will clock to the next level have become abundant enough for them to be able to supply a new speed grade. technically, all a p3-1ghz was is a overclocked 933. overclocking is exactly what these manufacturers do anyway, and a lot of the time many lower chips are just cores that were able to hit the higher speed grades, but relesed at lower grades to fill the demand in the mainstream sector, where the real bread and butter of chip sales is!!
By the way, has anyone with the BFG O/C tried it with a diffrent HSF? i feel the BFG one is a bit lame, and is holding me back!!!
