How are you guys OCing these bad boys? Stock is alreadyOCed but I've overclocked to 470/1.2 and get 13.5K 3dmarkeses. Quite the upgrade from 5950🙂

Edit had 500 but arts and unstable.

500/1.2? Thats insane.

400/1100 (Ultra) here... i'm kinda CPU limited, so I don't want to push it too far.

500?!?!? holy crap nice OC you got there. I run mine at 400/1100 cause highier than that really doesn't get me much more FPS. Maybe I will go highier when I get better than stock cooling but for now I'm set. Zebo did you volt mod the GT too?

JB, I thought ultra was 450 so I started there LOL.

I've giving 1.7V and getting serious arts now. Will back down to 470 and benchs to follow. What you want to see?

Upping your agp voltage isn't going to change your overclocking ablity.

As for what I want to see, I want to see you try the moh😛a demo, I was running the core on my gt at 410 until I tried that and found polygons streaching off into infinity all over the place. Had to back it down to 390 to get rid of that.

I wasn't talking about vAGP I was talking about vGPU. You can up the cores voltage easily with a BIOS mod... I might do it soon my self once I get better cooling.

Tell me how JB. My OC is getting worser with ^ temps. This is the max w/o arts.

link

Mem still no prob but core iffy.

If your OC is getting "worse", it sounds like you're going a bit too high. Lower your speeds before you damage the card permamently.

Well actaeon when I first installled card by rad temps where at 26C and core was only 32. Now I'm seeing 33 and 48 repectivly load. Seems these cards DO NOT LIKE high temps. The key is keeping temps low not how much you OC! I've calculated on a processor every 10C makes about 5% more OC. Hav'nt done the work yet on this card to know the relationship yet..just got it.🙂

Do you think for some reason that these cards "heal" themselves? All damage is permanent from slight damage to total meltdown.

THere area ton of threads o nit over on nvnews.net forums. Also there is a new thread where actually LOWERING the voltage help OC for the exact reason you say the high temps are keeping you down. The lower the voltage the lower the temps obviously. And a few peopel are actually getting better OC's by setting the vGPU to 1.2 or 1.1 kinda weird.

And I wasn't talking about your recomendation to up the vgpu, I was talking about Zebo putting 1.7v though his agp slot.

My temperatures actually hardly changed at all from the stock 370/1000 to 400/1100, something like 2C on both idle and max loads. It starts to artifact a lot after that though even at around 405 (while 400 works fine), so something else is holding it back.

BFG recommends 1.6V on the AGP slot over the usual 1.5, although I have not noticed any differences in overclocking potential at either setting.

By the way, do you all have the newer version of this card with the special cooler?

I have a CPU waterblock on it. I don't know about special cooler..here's a pic of it if you're intersted but it's off the card like I said...link

Hey snowman I can fiqure out how to benchmrk this... I don't like war games but I'll do it for ya anyway if you tell me how.

Oh I wasn't talking about benchmarking, or gameplay for that matter as I felt it sucked. I was just recomending it for artifact testing since it was a lot harder on my core than even doom3.

yeah, that was the one I was talking about, although it obviously wouldn't matter in your case. I still don't really know how this cooler compares to the nvidia reference one, as everyone seems to say something different about how powerful it is.

Awesome🙂

It's not stable..jumped the gun in my excitment. Highest I can go is 454/1.2. My temps get to high when benching..hell, it's still 95F outside out here in the desert🙂

I buy NC by the pallet, breaks down to 72 cents ea., Cheers everybody.
