I just put a rig together with 500 watt x-connect psu, bfg 6800 ultra oc, dfi lanparty ut mobo, a64 3200+.

i first had a splitter power connector installed to both molex connectors, the computer displayed a message saying the card is not receiving sufficient power. so i connected to molex connectors straight from the psu in each molex connector.

the system booted fine but 5 seconds into boot, my lcd was start flashing and keep going on and off. the system displayed the same message and crashed after few seconds and launching me into reboot.

i want to know what i am doing wrong.

bfg states 480 watts psu. i have a 500 watts psu.

the card is running at default speed so is the proc.

please help me on this issue.

thanks.

Hell I have a 6800gt running on a 220 shuttle psu.

X-connect? that one of the psu's where you only hook up what you need? If so, double check that the cables are connected to the PSU.
