BFG 6800 OC owners - How loud is the cooling fan?

This card has been getting good reviews from what ive read, and i am almost sold on buying one, but before i do get one, i would like to know some specs or info on the noise the HSF produces for this card.

Over the past few years i have painstakingly made my PC as quiet as possible, and would be frustrated if i got this card home and found that it threw everything out of wack. Bjorn3d's reviewer said that the cooling system was very quiet, but without db or fan RPM specs or a reference point, there's really no way to tell just how quiet it is.

Appreciate any help/info. Let me know how you feel about yours.

Its quiet, id recommend just buying it and if its too loud put on an aftermarket solution.

Alright, thanks for the impressions guys.

I actually just installed a Vantec Iceberg4 Pro on my Geforce4 4400 Ti (which i will be selling soon) and at 5500RPM i think this thing is pretty loud... It's a fast spinning medium sized fan which i would assume would cause all of this noise... The BFG appears to have 2 small fans which i am assuming spin at a lower RPM to create this low noise, coupled with a good looking heatsink.

As far as aftermarket solutions, i suppose the AC Silcencer would work well too... At 2500RPM that thing must be whisper quiet :) .

Doesnt look like it, notice the white outlines and holes in the card? Looks like that is for the stock cooling

I'm pretty sure what you see there is stock. I could be wrong though.

That is the stock cooler. I had one of those cards for a few days, that's the way mine looked when I took it out of the box.

The BFG has two smaller fans on it which light up blue - the pic from Bjorn's is the stock hsf. Hard to say what quiet it because it will differ from person to person but I would say the BFG is not vary noisy. My system is loud and I can't hear the BFG over all my other fans.

Care to drop any info on the fans you're running in your system? I know my cpu's HSF runs at 21dBA @ 2500 RPM (Thermaltake SilentBoost), and im not sure what my Antec 380w TruePower's specs are, but it's quiet too.
