Bfg 6800 OC different revisions for cooling

I saw on the net in a few places talking about there being 2 revisions
of the bfg 6800 oc.

I'm talking about plain 6800, NOT the gt nor the ultra.

A one fan solution and a dual fan cooling solution.
I was wondering if anyone here knows how they compare in terms
of cooling and noise levels ?
Either first hand knowledge or any links that discuss it ?

Also if anyone knows if there is in fact just 2 different
cooling solutions,
because in some pictures I've
seen of the dual fan style, the casing around the fans looked a copper
color while in other pictures it looked kind of chrome-ish ?
Maybe it was just the lighting or something in the different pictures.

i got the bfg 6800 a week ago and the cooling on it is pretty good and also the dual fans have blue l.e.d.'s in them. most of the people i have talked to with this video card have unlocked the 16 pipes with me included with rivatuner. i really like the video card but i havent seen other versions. the color of the casing is prolly just how they took their pic but is it like a chrome finish. the video card is pretty large so i hope u have some room in ur agp general area. its a very nice card when going from a ti4200 64MB to this puppy right here. i dont know about any one with only one fan on it. maybe a beta version of it? i got mine from newegg cus it's on backorder on outpost til december and i got it when it was on a $20 discount so i only got it for $279 O yea and its OC'ed right out of the box so thats an added plus but my farcry game never worked and i talked to others that it didnt work for either. mine just hung when it was trying to load up the game on the splash screen and also its pretty quiet. i cant hear it over any of my other case fans. the only time i notice it is when it boots up through DOS but then it quiets down after loading windows. i love this card

zerocool84,
thanks for the info.
I had actually already ordered it on outpost.com but it's on backorder,
but i'm keeping a look out at the stores to see if I can find it for 250.00 like at outpost.
That's why I was wondering which one was better in case I see both versions
at a store.

I have a antec sonata case with a quiet exhaust fan so I have a feeling that
the bfg's fan or fans will be louder than my case fan.

Heh, I'll be going from a p2 400 mgz w/ nvidia tnt, to hopefully a p4 3.0 Ghz w/ bfg 6800 oc,
so I'll notice a very big difference 🙂
