I am getting a 3dmark03 score of 11741 with system at stock cpu and stock video card speeds.

I have trouble making it thru 3dmark when turing it up to 400/1100.
What else would you suggest I do to make this setting more stable.
Sometimes it makes it thru 3dmark, but my score is lower than stock somehow.

preciate your help

Maybe your card is one of the ones that aren't cut for OC/ing and if its giving you trouble then you should probably back off.

My idle temp is 53-55 core, 33 ambient
Haven't tried to check my temp during load.
Is there anyway to track full temp?

my case temp is around 25ish

Thanx for the link,

After running doom3 I max out around 71 core and 43 ambient

Will upping the agp voltage do anything?

try this demo..it taxes ur videocard much more than any game can do..

my card was running stable up to 90C...so it doenst seem like temperature is a problem for you. Is the videocard only connected to one rail? Do you have a good power supply? A volt mod might help, but I'd do that as a last resort. Other than that, you might have just gotten a poor overclocking card :(

I had the same problem as my scores dropped from 20k to 13k. In fact, I just resolved it 20 minutes ago. Get the latest chipset drivers from your manufacturer and install them. The ones from the mobo cd won't cut it.

I assume that with a system like that you have a quality psu right? (especially when you o/c)
If this is true then I believe that it must be your card. Some of them are just poor@O/C even@Ultra speeds only. BTW what brand is it?
Temps seem normal at your case so...

Hmm I think its the exact opposite. My card gests hottest playing Far Cry along with other Dx9 games and rthdribl barely gets it to 73C. Weird.

Ill try the latest m/b drivers

Its a bfg 6800 gt oc so it is stock at 370/1000

My power supply is a thermaltake 480w, I assumed this would be all I would need?

thanx for the help so far guys

I read somewhere that turning off fast right and/or AGP spread spectrum helped out in their overclock...

Well I figured out what was wrong...

With my MSI K8N neo2 (which is currently on its way back to the orient) the max I could get stable out of my card was 380/ 1020

I swapped out that board for an Asus A8V and now have no problem running at 400/ 1100
3dmark03 scores have jumped up to 12522.

Thanx for all your suggestions,
Iron
