I posted this in the overclocking section as well but don't know if thats the right forum so here goes again

I have the BFG 6800 GT and am running the 370/1000 factory settings on it. I downloaded the coolbits reg tweak and installed. Go to the coolbits/overclocking tab and try to adjust settings and test fail at anything above 370/1000. Dectect optimal also stays at 370/1000. Looked at my bios and saw I was at 1.5 AGP voltage bumbed it to 1.6 and no luck. Anyone have similar problems or offer any suggestions that would be great.

specs
AMD 2600 XP-M @ 2.3ghz
ASUS A7NX8-dx
BFG 6800 GT OC (370/1000)
Kingston 2x512 PC 3200 HyperX

Changing agp shouldnt really help, but i did use to get extra 5% onto my normal 10% on my ti 4600 adding up to 15% o/c.

These new cards get main power from 2 molex's and putting up volts in bios can damage card anyhow.

Have you tried the bios mod links here and in google.

Enter bio mod in search here, its mainly aimed at Ultra owners though using GT bios.

Luck of the draw.
Or not in this case.
I had 2 identical MSI 9800 Pro w R360 core. One would overclock to 450 core and above.
The other would only reach about 400~ or so.

I have the same card. Mine will only got to 385/1014 before it fails testing. O'h well, it's just luck of the draw.

LIES lol

I just wondered cause I have always ALWAYS I mean like 100% good fortune in getting parts that 0C well cpu's-mem-gfx cards u name it--- streak had to end sometime i guess :( damn 400 dollars and can't OC it WTF !

I could change the bios -- maybe BFG's bios is limiting the OC abilities of the card in bios ???

It could be the bios but why waste a warranty on a $400 card that can pretty much handle any game you throw at it.
