Thats a big rock your living under! LOL!

BFG = 24/7 lifetime support, great OC'ing ability, good extras......

Yep, BFG is probably the best 6800 card you can get. The lifetime warranty and support is what puts it over the top.

I'm looking for either a 6800GT or an X800 Pro and I need to purchase within a week or so.

I live in TX so I will be charged tax by outpost, which brings it to approx $390 total.

What do you guys think, should I pull the trigger on this or do you think something beter will come along soon? I do like the idea of having the BFG.

Thanks

It's not on backorder. I just ordered one less than 5 mins ago and it is in process. The description says unavailable, but the front page still says same day shipping.

Just add it and purchase.

its ordered - total $387.91 w/ tax and 2nd day airborne express

guess I can always cancel if its out of stock

THANKS kabob983!

You want have to worry about that, they'll cancel it for you. Outpost wouldn't be that bad if they actually had a real-time inventory. I guess if you have ever been in a Fry's, then you'll know about the inventory mess. lol.....

I called them and they are out of stock, I was told that they don't even have an order in to get more at this time.

the last time i was in the hunt for a video card was about 1 1/2 years ago. i don't ever recall seeing anything made by BFG back then. i've seen the name here and there since then, but was not really interested who they were since i didn't want a video card.

i've got an Antec Truepower 430 with just the basic components installed in my system. do you guys think my PSU can handle this card? this will be the last card i install in my box. it's starting to get a little long in the tooth so i'm not ready to buy a PSU for a video card. the next parts i buy will be for a major upgrade.

so, can the psu handle this video card with the following stuff installed?
P4 2.4ghz@3.0 ghz.
1gb Mushkin ram
Lite-On CD burner
floppy drive
Audigy2 ZS
Maxtor 8mb 7200 rpm HD
4 case fans

I got one of these... Mine is the overclockable one...
6800GT OC...
it has been flash bios to a 6800 Ultra....
It is nice...
I am stuck here at working waiting to get home to play CS...

Order cancelled by Outpost.

Nice inventory mgmt! Product goes on sale, 5 minutes later all orders being cancelled due to out of stock. BRILLIANT!

Um... maybe... I've heard that the 6800NU works just fine with that kind of specs, but I don't know about the GT...
