Somehow, a little furry feline friend caused a reboot while I was running a game. Now all (& only) 3D games exhibit artifacts.

The artifacts appear as a pattern of small (20x5 pixels maybe?) areas that are visible only while panning.
Upon close observation, I can see that these areas are unable to be updated consistantly with the rest of the display.

I've reinstalled the same drivers, and tried different drivers-no luck.
Changing the anti-aliasing from app-controlled to high specified values creates more, but
smaller, artifacts. No other settings have an effect.

Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Finally! ISP was down all weekend!
OK-Temps are 40-46C while running the game, as reported by nVidia drivers. Artifacts are there upon cold (really cold) boot anyway.
Some one suggested "underclocking" it. Well, if I can figure out how, I may give that a try, but not sure what it will mean if it does eliminate the artifacts-card still won't be working right...
BFG support doesn't have a clue, but they do have a "lifetime" warrenty. Hope they mean my lifetime and not the cards ;-)
Thanks
