BFG 6600 GT OC AGP - CS:S looks 'funny'

my bro just got his BFG 6600 GT AGP today, and CS:S looks odd if you look at the pic. i have the latest official Nvidia drivers installed (81.98), DX9.0c installed and his specs are as follows:
XP2500
MSI K7N2 NF2
2x512MB OCZ Gold GX PC3500
Antec 350w Smartpower
40gb HDD
audigy 2
1 CD-RW
2x80mm fans

anyone know what could be causing this? im thinking it might be a driver problem or possibly the PSU.

the pic is located in this thread (too lazy to upload to photobucket): http://forum.ncix.com/forums/index.php?...4021&pagenumber=0&msgcount=0&subpage=1

you say OC in your title... if you're referring to it being overclocked, try clocking it back to defaults. Then try dropping to the last 7x.xx version of nvidia drivers, then 6x.xx -- since the 8x.xx is really for the new cards. I'm running my old Ti4200 with 61.77.

That BFG card is overclocked and tested as such from the factory so it shouldn't be a problem, but turning it down to stock speeds might be a good test to make sure the card is working properly.

Also, try using the 77.77 or 77.72 drivers. I've used both of those on my eVGA 6600GT and they work great, but I got some similar "funny" reflections with the 8x.xx series of drivers.
