My 5800 used to OC to 512/1005 as well using the OC utility in the drivers. I'm not a fan of big OCs, but it seemed safe enough with these cards as they automatically reduce speed if they get hot.
 
Thats almost exactly what my BFG does. I was kinda nervious to run it at such an extreem overclock, but it has had no problems at all so far.

I reduced all the settings to performance instead of quality before benchmarking, still score 12??? in 2001. No biggie since my games play awesome.

2k3 scores after the 340 patch 5335 which is still pretty impressive.
 
I recently got a PNY that coolbits autodected 526/1000, these cards are
an excellent value @$200 IMHO🙂
