So how's this PSU?

For that price, you can do much better. Corsair VX550 for example. The BFG GS doesn't even have active PFC. Neweg has the better BFG LS series 550W for $99 also.

I do agree that the 550VX and LS-550 are much better units for the same price.

BFG Tech LS-550 $99.99 with free shipping, but unfortunately tax for tigersty1e. Santa Monica, right? You should be able to get it by the next day with free shipping if you order early enough in the day. Review of LS series PSU.

Corsair 550VX $99.99 -$10 mail in rebate (exp 7/15) +12.11 shipping and tax. About the same after rebate cost. I've got one of these in my wife's gaming rig and it works great.

You can't go wrong with either PSU.

The GS is only sold at Best Buy.

Right. Clearly the picture is the only thing wrong. All the specs match the LS.
