I figured this new issue needed a new topic, because its not really related to my old 4850 issues.

So right now I am looking as to how I need to fix a monitor issue I am having. It will not let me run my second monitor in its native resolution. And when it does I have the have a black bar on the right side of the screen when is about 1 1/2 inches long.

My primary is a 22in acer, with a 19 in viewsonic as the backup. The acer runs 1680x1050 and the viewsonic runs 1440x900. When I set them to those resolutions the viewsonic has the above blakc bar. But when I set the viewsonic to 1280 x 1024 it looks ok, except for that whole not running in its native resolution look, but no black bar. Running 177.41

I think it is because I have the Viewsonic in a VDA /DVI adapter and there for it thinks it a CRT, or an analog signal, and changing something about it there. So I am going to change up and run it directly DVI to DVI and see if it clears it up.

Now all I need to do is figure out the overclock rating on this thing and how far I can push it. Alright kinda looking at it with Rivatuner.

Does anyone have any insight as to WHY this woukd be happening? Am I on the right track with the VGA DVI cable?

I am pretty new to the Nvidia control panel, is there something I need to know, or where to I look to figure this out. Running the auto setup give me the same response as setting the 2nd monitor in the setting tab under windows. It never did this on the god forsaken 4850
