bfbc2 fps help

Hi, I'm late to the party and just picked up bfbc2. Had played some bf2, but not very well. I thought I should check out the updated one, but I'm getting horrible frame rates. I just installed fraps and my system is running between 3 & 4 frame per second. You read that right, 4 is the max I'm getting. According to what I've read, I should be able to run high settings, but even at 1024x768 with all Low, I don't get much better.

My setup is Win7 home premium 64 bit, GeForce GTX 460, Intel Core i5-2500k, 8GB RAM. I cannot figure out anything which would make it this bad. Any suggestions? My monitor runs at 1920x1080 default.

Your video driver up to date? Also make sure the game is completely patched as well.

Yes, the video driver is GeForce 301.42, current as of 22 May 2012. The game seems to be updated, though I haven't figured out how to verify. After installing the other day, it did a 2GB download. I'll double-check that, but it does a version check each time I launch.

I know it is difficult, but a clean format should do it
