I still can't decide if I'm going to pick this up or not. I waited until BF3 came down to about $15 and I've thoroughly have enjoyed every bit of it. I'm mainly worried I would be paying full price for it and not get to play near as much with college starting.

Rofl, this series is a joke. Hell, they don't even have anything new gameplay wise.

ITS JUST BF3 WITH NEW MAPS PEOPLE.

I must disagree. Bringing back the commander, incentivizing cooperation through chain of command points, intra-squad VOIP from day one, these things may seem subtle or useless to you, but for me they have the potential to radically reorient the game towards the more cooperative style of BF2. All these things were removed to my chagrin in BFBC2 and BF3. I am really looking forward to this iteration.

If there is one thing I have learned in 20 years of PC video gaming:

DO NOT PRE-ORDER. PRE-ORDER = PAY NOW TO BETA TEST LATER

Arma 3/ Rise of the Triad 2013 = PC gaming's last hope of community-driven mods

Planetside 2 = what BF3 should've been, just set into the future

BF3 came with 9 maps, the DLCs added over 20. In terms of value I say premium is worth it. You spend dozens if not hundreds of hours in this game and the content is infinitely replayable. BF4 ships with 10 maps and 5 DLC promising 4 maps each so an additional 20.

Still, don't pre-order. BF4's already gone on sale for $44 once from some online retailer I forget which. Keep a watchful eye, and pick up premium before China Risings launch.

yo so i'll let you retards finish but the production quality on bf3 and bf4 is so much higher than any other game thats been released in the last 3 years that idk how you could not buy it, visuals, sound, engine scaling, control feel, the game has nailed it - and you can't get the experience anywhere else, even if it does suck they make you pay out the ass for it

seriously just listen to the sound of a gun firing, then you know why it's worth the price

its a refined BF3 with under the hood improvement and the core gameplay have changed thanks to destruction alterations.

so it looks like BF4 will be fun to play where BF3 pretty much sucked.

How does improved special effects improve gameplay.

BF4 looks like a prettier BF3 with features added back in from BF2 but called "innovations"

I still play BF3, but I only like Conquest and all the servers available only ever use 2 maps, usually Caspian border or Metro and I really, really hate Metro. So I'm ready for some new maps at least. I do wish they would at least do bullet physics and not the bs crap in BF3 though I'm sure it was for a reason.

$110 for a game, lmao. I'll stick with cheap games on Steam, thanks.

It also relieves me of ever having my internet connection shared with a teabagging xXxSnIpErXxX virgin who plays 24/7.

Win. Win.
