ok, So this is what is going on... I put my system back up to 2GBs after I sold my OC ram a little bit ago. Few months bacl I happen to join the Northern Strike beta and it tended to wipe out my whole BF2142 install and replace it with NS. So after the whole beta I had added the ram when I bought it last month and I had to reinstall BF2142 and did the patch, updates whole 9 yards.

Launched the game everything was working fine until 2mins later BF crashed and BSOD'd with a DXG.sys. After trying to figure it out, I reinstalled the Video drivers, Updated the chipset drivers and updated Direct X. Did all that, Turned game on... 5mins mins later same thing...

I could not figure it out. Next I thought of Ram. I than did a little reserch and found nothing but 1 result found that Stop code 0x0000008E could be ram. So I did a 8hour Memtest on the 2GBS of Ram. And NO errors. I was a but puzzled.

So I went to play a bunch of other games, did CSS video stress test and got no issues and it ran great. I went to play that 1 last time on BF2142, boom happened again same stop code same DXG.sys. So I decided to remove the 2 banks of 512MB because I would think since that was my last Hardware upgrade that it could be the issue. Removed the ram and left 1GB in the system... Booted her up... Launched the game on and boom... Game played flawless for 40mins with NO issues. O and I mine as well tell ya, I also cleaned my HSFs and the PC out with can air... lol

Anyway... the question and the most confusing part... How could it be ram when Memtest went fine for 8hours? Sure I have seen Memtest pass defected ram in the past but those were hard to find, I could make this BSOD happen when I ever I wanted... The other odd part was all my other games worked fine.

I also never had issues with the Ram for the month. except when trying to play BF2142. It makes no sense and I am pissed cause I got to find a way to RMA this stuff to get new ram. That could take weeks from Newegg or the vendor.
