Well I think I may re-install it and start playing it again, has it gotten any better with the latest set of patches, I uninstalled it about 4-5 weeks ago, after the first patch came out and was declared "Dumb". I liked the game but it seemed like there were more issues with it than not, actually I was able to play the wake island map, so a few days after that is when I put the Kibosh on it and put it on the shelf...is it better, or should I leave it alone still.

i heard its worse with the new patch, although its still playable for me.

the wake island map was like the third patch... so i guess it depends on how much u can tolerate the occasional bugs.

Thanks, I already installed it and I already downloaded the last patch, I am going to install that and log on and check it all out.

None of the patches really effect gameplay that much, maybe a slight tweak here or there but nothing that will change your experience.

BF2 is a great game and most people I know have a blast playing it. Try playing it from a "job" perspective, do your job and don't worry about kills as much.

I have a problem with the latest patch that ive never had before, now when i shoot at water theres no effect like splashing but on land it does. Its not that big of a deal but still its annoying....

OK, so it is the next day, I played that game till about 230am last night and I really suck at that game, but the game itself ran pretty well, no locking up or anything like that I played with all max settings exept the textures, that I had set to medium and res was 1600x1200. I was averaging 40-45 FPS and that aint to bad in my opinion. I really aint all that good at that game but oh well I am still going to play it again later tonight. the load times was a bit long and the screen to choose a server was really horribly buggy and inconsistant but oh well I played and was happy...I can honestly say that I am happy I re-installed it.

Still works fine for me. Nerver have had any connection issues, or problems logging in.

I don't understand all these complaints about BF2. I haven't even bought it, the demo is so fun playing with 63 other people and all, that I haven't been eager to purchase. playing against unpredictable people keeps the demo alive for me.

I've got just an Athlon64 2000, 1.5GB, XP, and a wee little 9800Pro. I never have lockups and I sometimes leave spybot (teatimer), McAfee 7.10, and webroot spysweeper 4.5 running.

I have even played over my troubled SBC DSL line which is full of soo many errors that my rate was 384 each way interleaved (not fast). Meaning first hop SBC router was 50ms away and the demo played no different over that crappy connection than the 6Mbit RR account that is not yet canceled.

What is it with all these complaints about BF2?

We all know BF2 is not perfect, but I think most people just think it's the "cool thing" to bash BF2 and EA.
It's not my favorite game, but I still play it often becasue I'm in a clan that is held over from Desert Combat CTF. Every once in a while something screwy happens, but nothing ever common enough for me to get upset about.
I'm just waiting for a CTF mod for BF2 and then I'll be really happy.

omg it's so annoying. I just can't play the game without water spashing when I shoot it, and I hit it so much it's like I'm trying to kill fish it's crazy lolol whatever stupid game omfg idiots can't make my water spash holy fek.

yeah because no one ever juts doesn't like a game or company. i mean, we all do it because we want to be cool..
