BF2 worked great yesterday, today = ?!

Anyone else having this issue? Basically everything loads fine, go to Internet Game, and sometimes it will sit there with Total = 0 for servers, while not showing anything in the screen. Sometimes if you give it a bit, it might show you some. But all today I've never had it give me the full list of servers, and be able to scroll through them. As soon as I get a list (if I get a list) and try to sort by ping, it freezes. I still get the music, but the moving graphic in the background stops moving, and clicking anywhere on the screen does nothing (can't quit, go to Local Server, etc). Mouse still moves though...

Argh 🙁 Anyone else having this problem? I'll assume the master browser is getting hammered.. but I have 2 friends that are getting along OK? Sigh..
 
When I first got it it was quick to find servers. Last night I had issues for about 2 minutes but been smoother sailing for me since.
 
Man, as soon as I post something...

Ok, I did *one* thing, I removed everything from this folder to skip the movies on launch, as I saw in another thread:

C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 Demo\mods\bf2\Movies (defaults)

Not sure if that's what really did it or not, but I got the list OK now..

Note: I guess it is possible that they could be related, as when I cleared all the files out, the rotating background images behind the interface menus are now gone, not sure if that was the issue or not, but it's working, I'm not going to ask any more questions. Off to play..
 
hmm I did that yesturday too lol. I didn't noticed if it actually fixed the issues I was having or not. THey didn't seem related but maybe they were ?
