BF2 won't run after Video Card upgrade.

Long story short:
My ATI X1900 XTX was 'glitching' when I would play 3D games. I replaced it with a BFG 8800 GTS OC. Whenever I try and start BF2, the splash screen opens, the CD-Rom spins and then the games closes. I remember this happening before (after my last Video Card upgrade), but I can't remember the fix. Perhaps it was something about changing the shortcut to start the game?

Any help would be appreciated, I wanna really try this card out!

probably the video.con files with in your My Documents folder. Should be able to just delete them and it should work if not reload BF2...

I had a similar problem when I tried to run BF2 on my projector. I just assumed it was because it didn't like that resolution. Are you running in a different resolution than you were before? Perhaps try changing your desktop resolution to something more standard (like 1024x768) just to see if it makes a difference. Might have also been an issue with dual monitors (since I had the projector hooked up as a second monitor), so you might disable dual displays if you have them on.

It looks like that did the trick. I don't remember doing that the last time, but hey, it seems to have worked so I am sure that there is more then one way to skin a cat.

Thanks.
