So I got the rank of lance corporal and unlocked the upgraded sniper rifle....now how the heck do I use it? I tried starting up both single player and multiplayer games and selected to be the sniper, however I have the old weapon.

You'll need to click the arrow (normally flashing yellow instead of greyed out) above it on a server that allows global unlocks (most\all ranked servers do). You won't be able to use your unlock in singleplayer.

The M95 was a horrible choice though :p

Thanks ya I just figured it out actually. I don't think its bad at all, the ability to shoot through armor could come in handy plus the thing is so much more powerful than the regular sniper. I think the zoom might be better also

The M95 (unlockable) does the same amount of damage as the M24 (USMC sniper) to infantry.

IMO The Anti-Tank is the best upgrade, but special ops gun is nice too :)

The only advantage is that you can damage vehicles (2-3 bars per shot), shoot through helicopter glass (only useful if you plan to TK for a vehicle  ), or if you want a bolt-action rifle on the MEC or chinese side.

It also does more damage to infantry with armor vests. It might do full damage, right through the armor actually. So depending who you shoot it can be stronger than the M24. Still, not that good of an unlock overall though.

It's useful if you want to replace the MEC or Chinese sniper rifle with something more powerful.
