alright my current setup is as follows:

its a hppavilion 761c
p4 1.9ghz
512ram--->upped to 1gig
geforce 2--->upped to a rosewill 6600 256mb agp 8x-4x

okay so i go to play bf2 on medium and i experience the most horrific artifacting i have ever seen. Does anyone know what causes artifacting and any plausible way to fix it ie:Drivers, updates?

Sounds like a heat problem. What are the temps on that thing? And do you have the latest drivers?

You should be using the 81.85 drivers from NVIDIA found here. But make sure you FULLY uninstall the old drivers and as for a temp program...I have no idea as I no longer use an NVIDIA graphics card. And that 41-47*C temp you told me, is that at load or idle?
