BF2 Starting Problem

When I start BF2, it just shows the splash screen, flashes a black screen, then crashes right back to the desktop. I heard this has happened to people who have had inadequate computer requirements, and I'm sure mine are ok (check link in sig). What can fix the problem?

EDIT: I tried downloading the CD image, and mounted it with Daemon Tools 3.7. How do I work that?
