BF2:Special Forces

I saw it at walmart for 30 bucks, but I havent read anything about it except the back of the box. I was wondering if this expansion is any good, and what ya'll think of it.

My buddy got it and wasn't all that thrilled with it. Lots of night settings and sneaking around. I decided to hold off when he told me that.

He does like the new Europe expansion which is $10 at EA.

Weird, every thread pontifex comes in to bitch about how just about every game just blows.

I think its worth $30. Its disappointing that its still $30, cause really it should be more like $20 when the new mini xpacs are only $10, but I definitely like SF more than regular BF2 because I fvcking hate all that vehicle crap in BF2. All the clan boys just whore up planes and tanks so bad it got annoying as hell to be infantry. I only really like Karkand and a couple others from regular BF2, so I purchased SF for the city and infantry combat. It could use more content.. I'm not particularly fond of the 3 night maps (would rather have a few more good ones like Ghost Town or Warlord), and for how cool the zip-line and moreso the grappling hook are, it seems like they could've added more gear.

Reviews like from Gamespot rated it quite good with their major complaints being stability/bugs/crashes, which I never had a single problem with. So that tends to lower the score for no good reason IMO.

I think it's fun. Some great new maps. Warlord and Ghost Town are my favorite maps. Granted, I'm a little biased since my friend and I got BF2 and SF at the same time and we've mostly played it; probably 90-95% of our time has been spent on SF. Our favorite server is SF so it's what we play most of the time.

im under the impression the euro forces add on for £5.99 is better.....long time since i played a game with an army similar to my own country's

I would say it isn't worth it unless you know 3 or 4 other people that have it, so you can all join the same server/squad.

interesting. i say 2 games suck and all of a sudden i think every game sucks. interesting logic there.

so you think its worth 30 but then think it should be worth 10 or 20?
make up your mind.

It's not worth $30 IMO. If you can find it for under $20, then yes. The new Europe expansion was pretty good for $10 (again, IMO).

it's worth it and I've only played it 3-4 times summing up a good 30 minutes. BTW, as soon as i logged back into regular BF, I had 2 unlocks, hahaha, definately worth it.
