BF2 Question for good jet pilots!!

if you're trying to bomb something, do you release the bombs BEFORE you get to the target, or directly over it??? I RARELY get kills with my bombs, I mean I've probably dropped the pair of bombs from the F35B 400-500 times and I have 3 kills ever.

it varies depending upon what speed you're going, but its ALWAYS going to be before you are directly over your target (unless you're hovering with the F35 🙂 ). try using the "look behind" camera view (F10 or F11 cant remember) to see where your bombs are landing. once you get a rough idea of when to drop your bombs you'll start getting some kills 🙂

Bombs are released automatically when the instrumentation, etc., determines it is right. A lot depends on the type of bombs - free fall vs. glide vs. propelled and guided. 🙂

This is real world - not from your game. 🙂

That in the game = easy mode. 😉

if you dropped 400 bombs, and only got 3 kills - i'd say you'd have a FAR better chance by just ramming your target.

I just save that for after I'm out of bombs. 😉

But like JRich said... Dive bomb. Typically if you're going full speed and dive to point the crosshair at the target the bombs will hit just barely behind the target, so compensate a little.
You can practice by diving at a target, releasing bombs, then immediately pull up and switch to the view facing backwards so you can see where the bombs hit.
