Bf2 problems... connecting to account server something... and nothing

Just bought the game, uninstalled the demo, installed the game.

Then i tried to create an account, and ofcorse every variation of my usual nick was taken so I just went back to the account i used with the demo. Wrote in the login and password.. and waited.. and waited.. and waited... alt tabbed, saw in task manager that the game was not responding.

When i started the game again i saw that my account was there, so i tried to log in.. nope.. same thing.. connecting to account server and everything just stops.

Any windows firewall notices about the game trying to send information to the internet?

but I should try disabling windows firewall

disabling the firewall did absolutely nothing to change this

I've had the game since last Friday, still haven't been able to play Online. My problem is different than your("error listening to Socket"), but so you know a lot of people are having issues Connecting. The game requires a patch, hopefully it comes soon.
