The pre-order is $10.01 and includes a $10 gift card. So effectively it's $0.01. And this means the game will end up being only $40 as well. Comes with the headset.
Deal at Microcenter.

You can only reserve it in store, so no link.

technically it's not $40...you're still paying $50 but you'll end up getting $60 worth of stuff.

Are you sure about that, seems like a preorder would go towards the purchase. And Microcenter is known for having quite hot prices on the big release titles. I got HL2 for $40 on the day of the release :D.

well what I'm trying to say is, don't count gift certificats as dollar off in the final price.

So for example, this game costs $50 total ($10 now, and $40 later) and they will also throw in a $10 GC. To say the game only costs $40 ($50-$10gc) isn't exactly correct because you're actually still paying $50 and getting $60 in stuff (if you use the $10 GC).

However, if the game goes on sale or if you are allowed to use the GC for the final purchase, then thats different...

What I'm saying is, you pay $10.01 down on the game (you get your headset). When you put money down to reserve the game you get a $10 gift certificate. So now there is only $40 left to pay on the game and you still have the $10 gift certificate. So it's a total of $40 for everything.

It's not a total of $40 for everything...did you forget your paid $10 before? So it's $50 for Game/Headset and $10 GC. If you decide to use the GC in the future, you get $10 of free stuff. So technically, you paid $50 and received $60 worth of stuff.

HOWEVER, (and I already mentioned this in my post above which I think you failed to see) if you are allowed to use the GC to pay for part of the game, then yes, you are getting the game/headset for $40.

Got my BF2 yesterday. No logitec headset. Emailed them about it. goit this:
"Hello,

Thank you for contacting Outpost.com.

We had limited stock on the Logitech Headsets available with pre-order
of Battlefield 2. It was noted as a Limited Time offer/While supplies
last deal. Unfortunately we were unable to get anymore of the headsets
in and many orders did not go out with them. If you wish to return the
game, please call us at 1-877-688-7678."

I would of been cool if they had achnowleged that I wasn't getting it before it shipped. They must have known that they were short headsets, and to keep people from canceling, they didn't bother letting anyone know.
Outpost just lost a customer

Hmm Pats are you positive that there was not some fine print on the web site? I know at Ebgames when they were offering it they did have a * and if you went down to the small print it did say limited avaliability and would be first come first serve so not everyone was guaranteed to get one.

But that is one of the reasons I went with Gamestop, they gurantee it when you place the order, at least they did when I ordered as the Headset itself is added into the cart as a seperate item. I think Amazon did something like that as well, you had to actually add the item in after you added BF2.

Sorry you did not get it though, I know you probably dont want to hear this now but its a nice headset, sounds pretty good and is comfortable. Not tried the mic yet though so cant comment on how well it pics up, but it is a little shorter than most so nice if you like to have a drink with you while playing.
