The pre-order is $10.01 and includes a $10 gift card. So effectively it's $0.01. And this means the game will end up being only $40 as well. Comes with the headset.
Deal at Microcenter.

You can only reserve it in store, so no link.

technically it's not $40...you're still paying $50 but you'll end up getting $60 worth of stuff.

Are you sure about that, seems like a preorder would go towards the purchase. And Microcenter is known for having quite hot prices on the big release titles. I got HL2 for $40 on the day of the release :D.

$53.86 OTD. I guess that's not bad for a free headset and next day air, plus stupid CA tax. :disgust:

Got mine from gamestop with free 3 day shipping and the headset as well. No up front charge, they wont charge me till it ships. Like $50 total so not bad considering the free shipping. Would of went with Ebgames but Ebgames is not offering the free headset anymore.

Edit: Umm what do you mean no coop? Me and a friend have played quite often in coop mode. Start a single player game and then just have your friends connect to your ip. It works pefect with the demo so am about positive that it will work the same with the final version.

Get it from the EA store..$10 for any EA made PC game..$15 for any console games. If you know someone that works for EA...tell them to invite you to a tour. (Limit 2 per person on each title)

or better yet, tell your friend to get you a copy. ;)

I'll give that a try, thanks.

if you live near an EA development building. They have an EA store inside, they only sell EA items. You probably need to know someone that works there to be able to get in. If you don't...you can try to walk in. :)

Each person is allowed two copies per title on any game. I've only been to the one in Los Angeles, they don't accept cash..credit or ATM only

? EA Australia (HQ Gold Coast, Australia) EA Games | EA Sports

? EA Europe (Chertsey and Warrington, UK)

? London, England (EAUK)

? Los Angeles, Ca (EALA Studio)

? Maitland, Fl (Tiburon Studio)

? Redwood City, Ca (EARS Studio and Corporate HQ)

? Vancouver, BC

? Montreal, Quebec

well what I'm trying to say is, don't count gift certificats as dollar off in the final price.

So for example, this game costs $50 total ($10 now, and $40 later) and they will also throw in a $10 GC. To say the game only costs $40 ($50-$10gc) isn't exactly correct because you're actually still paying $50 and getting $60 in stuff (if you use the $10 GC).

However, if the game goes on sale or if you are allowed to use the GC for the final purchase, then thats different...

What I'm saying is, you pay $10.01 down on the game (you get your headset). When you put money down to reserve the game you get a $10 gift certificate. So now there is only $40 left to pay on the game and you still have the $10 gift certificate. So it's a total of $40 for everything.

To clear up the confusion, I just bought the preorder.

It is a box that has the headset, and you pay 10.01 TOTAL, and get the box, and a $10 gift card. So really, its like you bought the 10 gift card and got a headset for a penny.

Yea but I think that $10.01 goes towards the purchase of the game.

No it dosent.

When they ring up the giftcard for $10, the 10.01 for the "preorder" automatically goes to 0.01

But this is still a good deal if you planned on buying it in store somewhere.

That is like the stupidest preorder I have ever heard of it the do that. From all the preorders I have ever done the price of the preorder is deducted off the total game price...

You do get the preorder price deducted off the total game. When you return to the store, you still only have to pay the remaining $40 (or however much you still owe since).

Basically they are allowing you to use the giftcard instantly. that's it...that's why it shows up as .01
