BF2 Patch 1.4.1

After I patch the original BF2 with full 1.4.1 patch, games does not work anymore. It tries to load ( black screen) and it quickly exits me to the desktop window.
 
I had that problem with the "full" patch as well. Two times actually. Each time I had to incrementally install the game up to 1.41.

Edit: This is the only game that I was ever nervous about patching...
 
delete profiles folder in documents folder and try again. (my documents > battlefield 2)

i had similar problem before.
 
You might have to just flat out reinstall. Install bf2, then 1.4.1 patch, then SF, then 1.4.1 patch, EF, patch, AF, patch.
