why would it make us feel better? Call the support number and maybe they can swap discs for you.

Yea. It's easy.
I stopped using the DVD a long time ago (I hated having to insert it every time.

Here's the mini image (DVD)
Here's the mini image (CD)
(try the DVD one first. Thats the one that I can confirm works)

Thats the first thing you'll need. Download it and extract it. But thats all for the mini image for now.

Next thing you'll need is Daemon Tools for the virtual cd/dvd drive to mount the mini image in. (make sure to uncheck the toolbar when you install it (spyware, but you can choose not to install it).

Daemon Tools is not spyware. The developers needed to put it in for some reason. Luckly you can choose not to install it.

This is kinda a side step for Daemon Tools but after you install it you might want to upgrade your SPTD driver to the newest one. It's easy (choose upgrade, then reboot, after you've installed Daemon Tools all the way)

Alright. Now set up Daemon Tools to have 1 virtual cd/dvd drive (right click it in Task Bar, it's easy). Then mount that mini image you already have.
Now, that should enable you to run BF2 without the CD by mounting the mini image with Daemon Tools. But if it doesn't work, first try "enabling all emulations options" in Daemon Tools (you'll see it in the menu when you right click it in the task bar).

Now if it still doesn't work, you'll need some kind of anti-blacklisting tool. Luckly, this is really, really easy. Pr0t.St0p is probably the best. With BF2 being as old as it is it's bound to work. But like I said you probably WON'T need to have to use an anti-blacklisting tool since BF2 is an older game. You use to have to rename the driver of the virtual cd/dvd but now, first off, you can't, and second, ever since they moved to SPTD driver, you really didn't have to do it anymore. But I'm not sure (havn't played BF2 in a long time).

Good luck. PM me if you need any more help ;)

Option 2: Purchase the SF add on, install it and use that as your boot cd.

Can you do that??
Even with SF add on, doesn't it ask for the original dvd/cd (it did for me)
