BF2 Karkand Load times!

My current system is

athlon xp 2000
1 gig Ram
ecs board

bf2 settings : all low

It takes about 5 minutes to load and verify BF2-karkand. I am going to be getting a new system next month and wanted to know what to look forward to in bf2 load times.


Please post your system and karkand load time

No idea but its well under 5 minutes Whats your current graphics card and whats your new one?

Fast CPU/2GB RAM with good defrag makes mine load quick.

sorry, forgot the gpu. I have a 9800 pro. I'm getting a 8800 gts 640.


btw, i'm completely defrag'd.

Less than a minute to load. For BF2, you need a faster cpu and 2gb of ram.

Yeah your gonna see a massive improvement. Although my rig with a 9800 PRO isnt all that slow with BF2 load times. Its 2xopteron 842's @ 1.6ghz//1GB ram//9800 pro. Its still a decent gaming machine.
