BF2 Crashes to Desktop

When I try to join a multiplayer game my BF2 just crashes to desktop. I have tried reinstalling the game, that didnt help. I then tried reinstalling it on a different hard drive, that also did not help. I have tried updating my ATI drivers to the newest version, that didnt help. This was happening before patch 1.2 as well, but when the patch came out I decided to give it a shot because I thought things might work, but its the same.

edit: When i host my own single player game, it works perfectly fine. It just crashes when I join a mutliplayer game. Its reallllly wierd.

If anyone has any idea, lemmy know. Thx a lot.

Any error message? Other 3D games crashing? Perhaps try reinstalling the OS (XP?) if possible?

Also check your memory with memtest86(or try switching memory of you have another set). I had all kinds of problems with BF2 and other games ran fine. Turns out one of my sticks of ram was bad.

-No error messages.
-All other games work fine (WOW, CSS, COD2)
-I cant reinstall XP cuz i got a lot of stuff i need to keep, and it would take too much time to back everything up just for BF2
-And i dont think my ram is bad, computer seems fine and OCZ is pretty good stuff.

Try changing your network settings in the BF2 options.
