BF2: Cant join games with new 1.5M DSL service

I recently moved and set up my new DSL service with my wireless home network and cannot get BF2 to work online.

It allows me to log in and refreshes the server list. When I double click on a server I want to play on it says ?Joining Server? then immediately says ?Updating Server List.? I am unable to join any servers.

I do have the 1.02 patch installed. I am not running any anti-virus software when playing BF2.

I have a Linksys WRT54G wirless router with a Linksys WMP54G wireless PCI card. I have tried disabling the firewall in the router, as well as Win XP?s firewall with no success.

I have also entered the Linksys setup menu by entering the DNS address into Internet Explorer and have tried to open these ports:

UDP ports:

* 27900
* 29900
* 29910
* 27901
* 55123
* 55124
* 55215
* 16567
* 1500-4999

TCP ports:

* 80
* 29900
* 29901
* 29920
* 28910
* 4711

I also ran the Ultima Online tracer (as the EA web site recommends) and all of that ran successfully.

I am still unable to play BF2 online. What can I do to fix this?

don't know if this will help you, but I just got dsl also and when I tried to connect to multiplayer startcraft I would not let me in.
uninstalled and reinstalled and manually downloaded patch update from blizzards site, applied it, and then It was happy and let me in.
