BF1942 - which joystick to get?

I always thought that I was good enough in driving planes and choppers with keyboard - until I saw a guy doing so well with mouse. Can't deny that analog device simply rules in driving.

I'm about to buy a joystick, any input?

well, for BF1942, i would stick with keyboard/mouse for all things.

but if u want a joypad, the MS Sidewinder USB gamepad really can't be beat

I use the KB/Mouse for all control EXCEPT for flying. For flying, I use a Logitech Wingman Cordless gamepad....works great....Too bad I suck at flying 😉

If it works great why suck at flying? 😀

In desert combat I can die a couple times only per round by flying Su-25 or A-10. Keep the bird well hanging, avoid AA, keep reparing, and you will live a lot longer.

Figured out how to fly choppers, yet? I can't get one to stay stable for the life of me.

I use a Microsoft ForceFeedback2 joystick and it works great.
