BF1942 studders

🙁

2500+ XP@3200
shuttle 41gv2 nforce2
512PC3200
120GB WD SE
9800pro
dell 2001fp@1600x1200 in games

Damn thing stutters liek crazy and the harddrive goes crazy during the game. I even decided to overclock it to 3200+ speeds, but it isn't helping....from what I read, this is a common occurence...any fixes?

Every other game runs really well, such as Call of Duty, Far Cry(demanding as hell), MoH series, XIII etc....they all work beatutifully @ 1600x1200...expect BF1942..my favorite....

Have you tried reinstalling BF1942? If your PC works fine on other games, I hardly think it is a hardware issue

I have. I even have it all patched up to the 1.6 patch and desert combat....sadly, it didn;t help🙁

<----looks at his 1942 disc and sheds a tear🙁

Damnit..I jsut set the setting to "lapplication preference" insted of jsu the general performance, and it is worse. I can't even us e a turrent in the game. It takes liek a second for the system to react, all while the HD is chirping away. Also, when I ctrl-alt-delete out of it, I see that bf1942 is only using 98Mb of RAM isntead of the ususal ( at least in the past) 300MB+ . What gives?

Also, when I quite the game, the screen will remain blank for about a minute while the HD remains buys.

What kind of applications do you have running in the background? Motherboard Monitor can cause this.

What kind of soundcard do you have?

KICKASSS! The omega drivers fixedit😀

-Yes, I did have motherboard monitor on, but the problem still ocurred even when it was off.
-THe harddrive seems to be fine.
-FOr sound I am using the nforce integrated soundstorm using optical out.
