BF1942 problems with Hitachi LCD CML174

Don't know if my last message posted properly. Anyway, ignore if a repeat. Can anyone help explain why BF1942 which ran fine with a Viewsonic CRT is now having problems when I switched to the Hitachi LCD? I get horizonatal bands that flash causing eventual lockups. The game is unplayable now. Any tips?

I'm taking a guess here, but I think it has something to do with the native refresh rates & resoultion your LCD runs in compared to the CRT.

You could try this:

Find the file VideoDefault.com in the \BF1942\Mods\bf1942\Settings directory
Open up the file with notepad and fine the line that reads "renderer.allowAllRefreshRates 0"
Change the 0 to 1, save & try the game again.
