I can play for awhile and it will just freeze up. Sound is still going, but I have to reboot. Single or multiplayer.

Radeon 9700 pro
MSI KT4 Ultra mobo
XP2200+
onboard sound (have an Audigy, makes no diff.)
512 megs DDR 333
Windows XP

All the latest drivers for video card, mobo, etc.

Anyone else have this problem?

what's your case cooling like? do you have adequate case ventilation? try taking your case cover off and positioning a fan to blow fresh aor on the system and see if its a case cooling problem.

I'm having that problem too, that the game just freezes, while the sounds are going on.
P4 2 GHz, mobo chaintech (model unknown), onboard sound, 1 GB DDR 266, GF4 MX440, win2k sp2

At first I thought it was a hardware problem, but seeing that your (Pacfanweb) machine has troubles too, I'm not so sure of that.
Now I'm more thinking of a software problem (a bug?), because I noticed something:
I have had no freezeups when playing the original install, or with patch 1.1, but as soon as I have installed patch 1.2, the troubles will start again. The first sign that it will happen, is that the view/screen is not flowing smoothly anymore, but becomes a bit choppy... Has someone else noticed that?..
