BF1942 and linux

Some friends and I at work (college campus CS dept) want to stay late and play networked UT2004 and BF1942. We've already got the 2K4 demo working but is B1942 compatable with linux?

Mmm...6 foot digital projectors...I can taste it already. 😀

you can run it in server mode on a linux box easy enough, winex should let it run.

All of the networked computers in our lab run linux, so it needs to be playable on it. Doable?

as long as the hardware is fast enough it should be. it might even run on wine, but winex has features tuned better for directx gaming.

6 foot is craptastic..... gotta be a min of 8 ft long to be any good, my home is just over 7.5ft wide now(and thats the width not the diag, 106 diag).

Some games simply don't work on linux. I'm trying to find out if it is, hopefully from someone who runs it on a linux box. Usually it requires a different version or patch. Thanks though.

OK our small ass room isn't big enough to give the projectors any more room. I dunno how big they can go, but I assume they're fairly good since they're used for CS research presentations.
