BF1 freeze and "still running" issue

Hello all
I often have the game freeze, and my system fans go to idle, and I have to control alt delete to get back to desktop. The main problem is when I try to close battlefield, it won't allow me no matter what I do. I have to physically restart the computer, and since it's a bit older it takes quite a while, then I have to reboot the game etc. . What can I do?

You can't end the process through Task Manager? That would seem pretty bizarre...

I know, it's very weird. There's several processes open either under battlefield or origin, and I try to close them all. One of the smaller resource drawing battlefield1 processes simply refuses to close.

Ok I can close one bf1 process, the other is a bf1 exe and it says "accesss denied". When I try to terminate process. It's taking 2 GB of memory, and will refuse to restart bf1, or to close origin, insisting a game is open.
Btw, The game is always crashes the same: screen image freezes, and my system fans drop to idle, no way out except control alt delete.
