Would I need a GTX 1080ti for that ? I already have a i7 7700k and 32 GB of ram. Say I increase the resolution scale to 200% at 1920x1200

40 to 50 fps is very playable to me.
You never said what performance you needed.
With that said a 1080 will give you 25% more performance than a gtx1070 and a gtx1080ti should give you 55% more than the 1070.

You answered your own question.

Just look up 4k resolution scores, they will be the same as 1080p @ 200%.

I went from a 1070 to a 1080ti, wow, huge upgrade. I played a round last night to test out my 8700k and it was buttery smooth @ 1440p 144hz with resolution scale set to 150 with everything else maxed. With current 1070 prices I'd suggest anyone in the market consider the 1080ti.

I would spend the money on a nice 1440p144hz monitor before getting a 1080 ti. Are you at 60hz, OP?

Yup, as Happy said look at 4k benchies. 1920x1200 200% is 3840x2400, so just a tad more demanding than 4k.
