Let me start by saying. I'm not that good. I just enjoy playing. I'm not a "chat and play" gamer.
Regardless, I had previously been playing 1942 and recently picked up Vietnam. So far, I like Vietnam better. Smooth graphics on my system (Barton 3200+, 1gig ram, 9700 pro AIW), plus my aim seems to be better (not sure why, maybe they just "dumbed down" the game). Haven't tried flying yet.
Oh well, I'll never be as good as these kids that get to put in hours and hours per day, but it's still fun :)

I just got finished playing it again before wandering into ATOT. I get less kills than I usually did in BF1942. I suppose I still have to get used to it but I am used to usually finishing at least in the top ten and now I only do about 40% of the time. I love the addition of period music.

I just bought a refurbed Radeon 9600 on the cheap because my old Nvidia card wasn't cutting it and I must say the graphics are stunning! :)

I enjoy the game better than the original. Mainly because the helicopters are easier to fly (at least in my opinion....) I can actually land aircrafts now instead of the old "fly to destination and parachute out" strategy that I had in previous versions.

I picked it up when it came out and have been playing it for an hour or two about every other day on average. I'm enjoying it too. I like games where you can have 20+ people on teams. Really makes it fun as long as you don't get buttheads and/or racists playing. For example: How come on Operation Irving it is like pulling teeth to get people to understand that it is a good idea to pick up the spawn crate for the U.S. and carrying it over to enemy territory?

I really think the NVA and Vietcong are under-powered which throws the game off a little. They could use some more help....like Jane Fonda...or a hippie.
