BF: BC2 Moment(s)

Played as Recon on Heavy Metal last night, climbing up the huge hill, looking for a nice spot to set up camp.

An Apache was laying the smackdown on objective "B", which was ours at that time. I'm running up the hill, praying I don't get noticed as the ghille suit against the bright hill stands out like a sore thumb.

No friendlies in sight, and all of our vehicles were demolished. Just, great...

The 'copter turns around slowly, and eventually notices me. I can no longer see its sides, as it flies towards me ever so slowly. The staredown...

I'm dead. I know I am. How come he's not firing anything at me? Is he planning to "run" me over? He's getting extremely close now. The game of chicken, begins...

I needed something quick, so I whipped my pistol out in desperation. Bang... bang....

Two direct hits into the cockpit, and I get a fragged message. The Apache goes down right in front of me. Epic in its truest form.

Now I know this may not be surprising for some of you, but man did that make my night, lol. I've seen/ done it all, nailing impossible shots in Quake/ UT/ Warsow, etc.

Screw RPGs/ guided rockets. I'm gonna melee a 'copter next time!

Eheh, yeah, I like to vary my gameplay throughout each game. I get bored easily if I stick to one class, and am more of an aggresive, upfront player.

I was playing in the train station stage, trying to capture the control point in the middle. I start fighting one on one with a Scout, shot him from about 30 yards with my flare gun, he catches fire and a fraction of a second later he's run over by a train. I lol'd.

TF2 is BFBC2 now?

I flew a black hawk full of squadmates and crash it in the middle of the ocean, killing everyone on board while laughing maniacally.

Playing as engineer in the desert one with the river on Rush. I hop on a boat and make it up the river and behind the enemy base. I had the G3 and run my clip out on one guy I ran across. I see a group a bit away so I switch to my tracer and tag one. Pull out my RPG and fire. Got 2 and probably hurt another 2. Got killed while trying to arm a M-COM.

My TF2 moment: Playing on Well as a Demoman, get to the middle point, knowing that the point is being captured but not by who, I launch a grenade over the boxcars and move to the right slightly to see where my grenade land. It lands directly on a Scout's head as he's moving around.

Just bought BC2 and Vietnam when they had their facebook 60% off deal. Looking forward to playing it. I've been loving TF2 but I need to branch out a little

My favorite moments are like, for example, when on these BC2 servers with uncap rules, which is all of them, and autopunish for uncap attack, where snipers are exploit-camping by firing out of the uncap, you shoot back and get autopunished, so they taunt you by calling "OMG RAYPUR" and naturally they keep sniping out of the uncap.

Whoa, a wookiee recon actually doing something useful?

I just remember one time I was on Atacama, the other team had just taken point A, and I was near there so I wanted to look around and see if there were any guys I could pick off. One ally near me... and he's a wookiee sniping towards the middle instead of paying attention. Turn around and I see like three enemies all coming towards us. I desperately hide behind a building and try to get the wookiee's attention, to no avail.

Within a few seconds the enemies shot me up and the stupid useless recon who probably didn't even know they were there.

Sounds like the best possible reason for DICE to give us proximity VOIP that I ever heard- since everyone can't be in one big squad. Or at least a commo rose where you could hit a generic INCOMING message.

Oh, you bet. 😉

I've developed a habit of tossing motion sensors at every objective, whenever I can, just in case there are ninjas in the area, ready to pounce on a friendly.

Oh, and I love chasing tanks down (still as a Recon, mind you), surprising them with my super-grenades [C4].

Me and a good buddy of mine play pretty frequently, and when we're playing a Rush Map, we'll try this little trick. Me as a Recon with C4 with the extra & more powerful explosive perks, will stick all 6 of my C4's to a UAV piloted by my friend. He will then pilot the C4-ridden UAV, and while staying low and out of sight, will get up right next to the Comm-Station and I'll detonate it. Frequently giving me a good 300ish points! Two attempts at this usually blow up a Comm-Station!

My favorite move is to use assault class with extra explosives and mk 2 explosives, plant C4 all over the house with with the m-com in it, arm the m-com and sneak out and blow the house up when people have rushed in. Makes me giggle every time.

Throwing c4 on the front of my helicopter and dive bombing tanks and other transport helicopters.
